Marilyn's love for makeup began as a young teenager with dreams to open up her own makeup line.

"But behind every person, there’s a story… My story? It all started when I she was 5. Growing up I was the only girl with 3 brothers. My mom loved putting makeup on me. But I hated it. I think I even hated makeup with a passion. But the one thing I knew I loved was drawing. I loved art. I loved any idea of art, from painting, to sketching, to crafts to DIY projects, it always fascinated me. 

As I grew older, I was watching YouTube videos and came across my very first makeup tutorial. It was so crazy how I was so drawn into the screen. I couldn’t take my eyes off, it was like watching someone draw all over their face. I was so fascinated with it that I took some of my moms makeup and started applying makeup all over my face. I remember the look my mom gave me after, she laughed. I looked like a clown. But I didn’t care. It was fun, that’s all I kept thinking about. It was like my face was the canvas. 

Who would of known, something I thought I hated so much ended up being the one thing I love so much. And that one thing is… Makeup. Makeup is my passion. With makeup It’s like I can be who ever I want in whatever type of mood I am in. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t take away the person I really am. And that’s the whole fun of it. Also, Nothing makes me happier than seeing the look on people’s faces after I applied makeup on them. It’s like they’re looking at a brand new them. 

Makeup should never hide your beauty, it’s suppose to enhance it. That’s the beauty of it. “Working hard for something you don’t care about is called stress. Working hard for something you love is called passion.” I framed that quote and placed it on my vanity so that Everyday I look at it to remind me how far I’ve gotten and to motivate me to keep going and never giving up on my dreams."

Marilyn's dreams are to be world known for unique style.
